How do I make and restore a backup?

Open the hosting control panel and press "Backup & Restore".

A backup contains the files of every website of the subscription, its databases and its mailboxes.

A new backup now
Press "Back up now". It is made in the background; you can go on with your work.

Automatic backups
In the card "Scheduled backups" choose "Every day" or "Every week" under "Automatic backup", set how many are kept under "Backups to keep" and press "Save".

Downloading to your computer
Press "Download" on the row of the backup. Backups are stored on the same server; download the important ones so that you have a copy somewhere else too.

Restoring
1. Press "Restore" on the row of the backup.
2. Tick what should come back: "Website files", "Databases", "Mailboxes".
3. Confirm.
Careful: the current files and databases are replaced by the versions of the backup. Whatever changed after the date of the backup is lost.

Always make a backup before a big change: an update, a new theme, a change of PHP version.

If you see "Your plan does not include backups.", your plan does not have this.
