How do I create a database?

1. Open the hosting control panel and press "Databases".
2. In the card "Add database" type the "Database name", the "Database user" and the "Password" (at least 8 characters).
3. Press "Create". The database and its user are created together.

What to write in the settings of your website
Database name, user and password: the ones you have just set.
Server (host): localhost

Write the password down at the moment you set it. It is not shown again; if you lose it, you set a new one with "Change user password".

Managing the database
Press "phpMyAdmin" on the row of the database. It opens without asking for a password.
"Export" downloads the whole database as a .sql file.
"Import" loads a .sql or .sql.gz file into the database.

WordPress does not need these steps: when you install it from the control panel, its database is created automatically.

How many databases you can have depends on your plan.
