What happens if I do not pay in time?

1. The invoice reaches you by e-mail when it is created, and it states its due date.
2. If it is not paid by then, it is shown as "Overdue" and we send you reminders by e-mail.
3. If it stays unpaid, the service becomes "Suspended": the website and the other functions of the plan stop for the time being. Your files and data are not deleted by a suspension.
4. As soon as the invoice is paid, the service comes back.
5. If the debt stays for a long time, the service may be terminated. With termination the hosting account and its data are deleted for good.

If you know you will be late, open a support ticket before the due date. A solution is easier to find before the suspension happens.

A domain is different: if it is not renewed before it expires, it stops working and after some time it can be lost for good (see the article "What happens when a domain expires?").
